The old adage is "Finish protects Wood, Wax protects Finish".  This advice holds true today.  Finish in good condition
protects your furniture by keeping the wood from absorbing excessive amounts of moisture or liquids that may discolor or
stain.  Good finish also stabilizes the wood, prevents it from drying out and enhances color & grain.

Waxes, or polishes, protect the finish by cutting down on abrasions and helps to deflect sharp objects from scarring the
finish.  It also provides a protective barrier that helps water & other liquids to be cleaned up before they can cause
damage.  Lastly, wax or polish add to the aesthetics of your furniture by giving it a soft luster, bringing out the natural glow.

Over the years, we have tried dozens of furniture care products and have selected the following two products as the best
for results and ease of use:

Lemon Oil & Beeswax is used for older finishes that are dried out and may have an alligatored or crazed surface (bumpy
surface caused by heat or sun exposure).

The
Beeswax Aerosol for newer finishes or older finishes in good condition.  Unlike furniture care products found at most
retail stores, this product is not oily and leaves no fingerprints or residue.

Both products are safe for use on antiques.
