Dovetailed Hepplewhite dowry chest with inlaid
vine, leaf & vase motif.  String inlay and inlaid
keyhole escutcheon.  Features an interior till
with lid, lock and hand-forged strap hinges.

The gift of a dowry chest to a young girl, as she
gathers items in anticipation of her wedding, is
an old Pennsylvania German tradition.

48" l x 30"w x 22" d
The original was found in an early Western
Pennsylvania homestead.  Like the original, it
has turned feet and raised panels.  It is shown
at left in cherry and curly maple.
This chest is also available in the
museum-quality painted finish with an early 19th
century fan motif seen on the right.

22" h x 32"w x 18" d
Faithfully executed like the 18th century originals, this dowry chest features hand-forged iron strap hinges,
hand-dovetailed case, feet and drawers.

48" l x 30"h x 22" d
Cherry Chippendale two-drawer blanket chest with high dovetailed bracket feet.  Secondary wood is wide
Eastern White Pine with an interior till and lock.  Very authentic.
